Public Profiles Mandatory
You can only fetch highlights belonging to publicly open Instagram accounts. Profiles that require approved following cannot be accessed.
Removed or Hidden Highlight Reels
If an account owner unpins, archives, or deletes a highlight album, Instagram removes the public CDN routing and the link becomes invalid.
How to copy and download Instagram Highlights
Retrieving a highlight album URL on Android, iOS, or web takes simple steps:
Open the Highlight Album
Go to the user's public Instagram profile and tap the circular highlight icon located beneath their bio.
Copy the Highlight Link
While viewing the specific slide in the highlight, tap the Share or three dots (•••) option and select Copy Link.
Paste the Link into Tomitingo
Navigate back to Tomitingo's Highlights Downloader and click the Paste button or paste the URL into the search box.
Save Selected Highlight Media
Click Download. Review the media card and choose Download MP4 (for video clips) or Download JPG (for photos) to save it directly to your storage.

- Highlight URL structure: A standard highlight link typically includes
/stories/highlights/HIGHLIGHT_ID/. If you copied the general profile URL instead, open the actual highlight circle and copy the direct link from there. - Creator privacy status: If the user switches their account to private, all highlight albums are immediately shielded from external web scrapers.
- Network timeout: Extensive highlight reels with dozens of media items may take a few seconds longer to parse. Give the tool a moment to process the manifest.
